Application deadlines you don't want to miss

February 1: LAS scholarship deadline
Apply for scholarships from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences! Need tips for writing a high-quality scholarship essay? Senior Vice President and Provost Jonathan Wickert has advice for you in this Iowa State Daily article.

January 12: Apply for the NCORE-ISCORE Project
Apply to be part of the NCORE (National Conference on Race and Ethnicity) and ISCORE (Iowa State Conference on Race and Ethnicity) Project! You will travel to Fort Worth, Texas for a summer conference, take a course on the construction of race and ethnicity in the United States and present at ISCORE 2018 on campus. Learn more on the ISCORE website or attend the information session on January 12 at 12:10pm in the Memorial Union Multicultural Center. Applications due January 20.

February 3: Apply to be a Destination Iowa State Team Leader
Show your Cyclone pride and lead 12-15 new students throughout the Destination Iowa State experience! Time commitment includes two mandatory leadership development workshops, an online Blackboard course and availability from August 17-19, 2017. You could earn up to $350 as a leader. Apply online by Friday, February 3 or attend an information session to learn more:

March 1: Apply to be a Cargill Global Scholar
Are you a current freshman or sophomore undergraduate interested in receiving financial support and leadership training? The Cargill Global Scholars Program is accepting online applications from students with exemplary academic achievement and leadership potential. Apply by March 1.

Fridays: LAS Career Services Spring Semester Drop-In Hours
LAS Career Services will hold drop in hours on Fridays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. during spring semester for students who need a quick resume review, help with CyHire or have career-related questions. Bring a paper copy of your resume if you would like it reviewed.

Adventures Abroad

January 19 and 25: Explore upcoming options for an Iowa State adventure abroad!
The Study Abroad Fair will be held January 19 in the Memorial Union Great Hall from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. A Global Leadership Study Abroad Information Session for students interested in studying in Sweden this summer will also be held Wednesday, January 25, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in 302 Catt Hall.
