Application deadlines you don't want to miss

March 9: It's happening—LAS Week 2018!
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is looking for students who are passionate about liberal arts and sciences education to serve on a student leadership planning team for an inaugural LAS Week in spring 2018! Students from all LAS majors and programs are encouraged to apply. This will be a leadership experience to add to your resume, a way to help connect your fellow students to more opportunities in LAS, and a fun way to celebrate ISU's most academically diverse college. You'll also get to play a big role in shaping the future of LAS Week. See information here about the planning teams and fill out a brief online application. Applications are due by Thursday, March 9, 2017. Email lasweek@iastate.edu with questions.

February 13: Apply to study leadership in Sweden!
The Global Leadership Study Abroad course will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, May 9 to June 3, 2017. Earn 6 hours of academic credit by taking LD ST 333: Women and Leadership and LD ST 370x: Special Topics in Leadership Studies: Global Leadership. LD ST 333 is approved for diversity credit. You will study leadership theories and practices in a global setting and meet with local and national government officials, business leaders and non-government agency staff members. You'll also learn about Nordic history and culture by exploring Stockholm's museums, historical landmarks, shops and neighborhoods. Apply online by February 13, 2017. February 17: Gender and Sexuality Equity Awards: Call for Nominations
The Margaret Sloss Women's Center and the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Student Services Center are proud to present the annual Gender and Sexuality Equity Awards. Award and scholarship nominations should be submitted by Friday, February 17, 2017, 11:59 p.m. Winners will be honored at the Gender and Sexuality Equity Awards Reception on March 22, 2017.

Registration for ISCORE now open!
The 17th annual Iowa State Conference on Race and Ethnicity (ISCORE) will be held Friday, March 3 (8 a.m.-5 p.m., Memorial Union). All faculty, staff and students are invited to attend and/or volunteer. Registration is free but required.

Join the Pay It Forward Tour over spring break!
Are you looking for a way to travel over spring break this year? Students Today Leaders Forever is organizing its annual spring break Pay It Forward tour destined to Nashville, Tennessee. Come volunteer in service projects in six different states across the nation while experiencing the tourist spots of each new state and developing leadership skills. Want more information? Fridays: LAS Career Services Spring Semester Drop-In Hours
LAS Career Services will hold drop in hours on Fridays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. during spring semester for students who need a quick resume review, help with CyHire or have career-related questions. Bring a paper copy of your resume if you would like it reviewed.
